The recruitment process
Stage 1: Your application. In the application pack, we request all the information required for the transferee process.
Stage 2: Our administration process. We carry out PNC and Special Branch checks, as well as an Occupational Health check. We also contact your current serving force to request your sickness record, outstanding complaints, discipline and your appraisals.
Stage 3: When all of checks have been completed, and are of a satisfactory level, we will invite you to our force headquarters for a fitness test. You will be required to reach level 5/4 on the multi-stage shuttle run and to push 34kg and pull 35kg on the Upper-body strength test.
Stage 4: With the fitness test successfully completed, we will invite you back to force headquarters for a Medical Examination with our Force Medical Advisor.
Stage 5: With the Medical Examination successfully completed, we will invite you to attend a suitability interview. The interview is normally held at force headquarters.
Stage 6: With the interview successfully completed, we will carry out our final checks, making sure we have everything we need to proceed with your application. This will include a final complaint and discipline check, and a reference request to your current Line Manager.
Stage 7: When we are in receipt of all the necessary information we require, and it is of a satisfactory level, we will write to you offering you a position with Cambridgeshire Constabulary.
