Chittering murder - help us catch Llywelyn's killer
LLYWELYN Thomas, 76, was discovered dead in his home in Ely Road, Chittering, at 12.30pm on Sunday, December 18.
Concerned neighbours had alerted police after the pensioner’s light was left on overnight.
Mr Thomas’ silver Rover 75 estate, registration BJ51 CJV, was stolen from his home and later found in Church Lane, Milton.
It is believed to have been there since 11.30pm Saturday.
A post mortem examination concluded the retired farmer had died from injuries to his head and face.
It is thought Mr Thomas was killed during a botched burglary. Four distinctive watches were found to be stolen (images of similar models below) along with a silver tea set and a black horseshoe wallet.
Detectives also want to trace the movements of the Rover between 9.30pm and 11.30pm on Saturday.
It had mechanical problems which means it would have made a lot of noise and been travelling slowly.
