The training of newly appointed PCSO’s is organised by Cambridgeshire Constabulary’s training department. Training is carried out at force headquarters in Huntingdon and will last for 6 weeks, covering practical modules such as:
- Relevant areas of law
- Human Rights legislation
- Community awareness
- Problem-solving skills.
- Patrolling skills
- Using the police computer
- Paperwork
- Airwave Training
- Self-defence
- First Aid
