The dog unit is a force resource and is responsible for providing police dog support throughout Cambridgeshire.

The dogs and their handlers are highly trained and offer support to operational officers.

There are currently 23 dogs which perform different roles from general purpose dogs (German Shepherds), to drugs and explosives search dogs (Labradors and Spaniels).
